Mozilla Firefox 3.0 has become the most popular browser in Europe

Mozilla Firefox 3.0 has become the most popular browser in Europe, ahead ruler in Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 for the first time. The information is based on a weekly basis and submitted by web analytics firm StatCounter.

Firefox 3.0 has captured the hearts of 35.05 percent of Internet users in Europe, constantly followed by IE 7.0, which is still highly competitive with respect deserving 34.54%.

Partial explanation for this is that significant number of Internet users started using IE 8.0, but despite this fact, the results presented indicate rapidly increasing market share for Firefox 3.0. The huge gap between the two web browser and is  increasingly filled and currently in Europe Firefox 3.0 is lagging behind with only 10% of the aggregate data for use of all versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer.

StatCounter statistics is based on charges of 4 billion pages a month. StatCounter is one of the largest companies to study the internet traffic and analyze information on two million registered users worldwide. Over 40% of registered users are from USA and 25% are from Europe.
